“You can look great shopping at affordable places, you can have yourself a great designer looking outfit without breaking the bank”. Interview with Lena @ Quality Rivets

“Bloggers out there have taught me so much” says Lena, Canadian blogger @ Quality Rivets, and that’s true for so many of us! I love Lena’s style, beautiful and affordable for everyone, and I specially love seeing her here in this interview! Hope you like it.

Check out her blog Quality Rivets and also her looks here on Chicisimo. Sure you’ll love them!

Last three question for Lena.

Q: What is a must have for this season? What trendy item will not be in your closet and why?

A: I’m in between seasons right now, so I will tell you a must have in my closet for this coming Fall 2010 is Velvet. Velvet blazer, velvet pants/leggings, accessories, skirts, etc. Seen on the Alexander Wang runway, I think Velvet will be an emerging trend this Fall. What trend will not be in my closet…anything army print. I just don’t get the “camo” look for everyday wear.

Q: Please tell us three  brands you love (if these brands are not popular internationally, even better!)

A: Definitely Alexander Wang for clothing, Jeffrey Campbell for shoes…unfortunately all too pricey for me. I wish I can have more of them in my closet.

Q: Can you tell us three fashion stores in your city, a visitor should not miss?

Village des Valeurs (aka Value Village). A thrift store I often frequent. Great pieces as is or DIY potential at extremely cheap prices.

Aldo shoes…the best shoes in town. Everyone has this brand on their feet.

Ardene… great affordable items. Not too brag because I work there but you can honestly walk out of there with 15 items and have only spent $30 or less.

Thanks so much!

“Make sure not to pick anything too trendy, and you’ll have them for many seasons to come. I try not to keep any trendy items in my closet because they’re not smart investment pieces”. Interview with Darrah Christel
