During the last few months I’ve been getting a lot of feedback and requests for new features on Chicisimo. At the beginning I was kind of surprised but then I started imagining all the cool things Chicisimo could have. And today, you will see the first version of the new site. I know there are many things to improve, but that will come. I promise.
Basically, you told me you wanted more diversity, more styles, and you wanted to have control over your own profile and do more stuff on the site. And all the changes, and I mean all of them, are the result of your feedback. I can only say thanks!
Most of you already know that for this new period of Chicisimo I teamed up with my husband (Gabi). I love fashion, he loves Internet stuff, we believe that’s a perfect mix!
WHAT’S NEW?
THANKS TO YOU ALL, CHICISIMO IS A STREAM OF INSPIRATION FOR FASHION LOVERS!!!
1.- Everybody can join Chicisimo. We never wanted to restrict the site to a particular style. By opening up to everyone, we hope we can have more diversity and be inspired by more girls.
2.- You can now follow your favorite fashionistas and don’t miss any look from the girls whose style you most like!
3.- Connect with your Facebook and Twitter accounts, and your friends will find you more easily!
4.- New profile page. Go to your profile page, you’ll see it has changed:) What do you think?
5.- When you vote for a look, we keep it for you in the section “Looks I Like” on your profile.
6.- Popular looks on the front page, recent looks on the sidebar of the front page. This has probably been the most difficult decision. We’ve asked for your opinion about this and the responses have been equally supportive of one or the other way (popular vs. all looks on the front page). What we have done is, most popular looks go to the front page, but all recent looks go also to the front page, to the right side. I hope everyone is happy with this decision, it has certainly been difficult.
7.- Report users for abuse and flag looks as inappropriate. Opening up to everyone has some risks, please help us keep the site clean and attached to the rules. Having everyone register only through Facebook or Twitter will also help prevent abuse, we believe!
WHAT’S NEXT?
We should improve the way we show the images and organize better the information around the looks. We should provide more tools to discover cool brands and great looks. You’ve been giving us tons of ideas on how to improve the site, please keep them coming.
